All my stuff, that I packed, is in my dorm right now. The room is smaller and older than my room at Arizona, but the layout is better. No mini hallway into the room where my desk is or anything. I have the right side of the room when you are looking into it.
I am not sleeping there tonight because we are going to the Oregon Coast Aquarium tomorrow and it is easier if I am here with my mom and sister, rather them coming to pick me up. My roommate isn't even there since she had to go pack up to Portland.
My roommate is better in person than on-line. I think we will get along just fine. I have only meet her and my RA Jason. I kind of meet two other girls in my hall, but cannot remember names or anything.
Here's my dorm explained into details, because it's different than most. The building I live in is called Walton Complex. It has about 8 halls. I live in Clark hall which has 3 floors. I am not sure how many of us live in Clark, but I do know the first two floors is guys and the 3rd floor is all girls. I want to say around 20 girls live in the floor, but it seems more than that. So this will explain why my RA is a male. Also there is one RA for the entire hall. Not floor or wing.
My mom does not seem that thrilled that my RA is a guy, but what I can do about that? Nothing, he seems fine and I am sure no issues will come up. My mom still lives in the 70s sometimes I think. I know boys are bad and they get girls in trouble...
Today other than moving in I went to the job fair, got an application for the library and undergrad department. Will recieved something from the biology department. So I am hoping to get a job soon. I also attended an info meeting on the marine biology insitute. It sounds like a good place to study. If I can get through my math and sceience classes I can go there and do fine. Their campus looks very nice, ocean and forest in the same spot.
I have a manditory hall meeting sunday in our lounge, I assume it's us getting to know each other a little and go over any rules and so on that we have to follow. It will be nice to at least see the faces I'll see when in the hall. I am not sure how the guys and/or girls will like being in the opposite sexes halls, but I guess it's ok.
Tomorrow is a football game, well it's at Stanford, but the EMU is having a viewing party since it will not be on tv. I might try to go to that, also might look into going to the game next weeked, but I do not want to go alone, plus I am not sure how I will get over there without a car.
That is it for me.
