Last night was the first time I have ever gone out for a drink in the US. That was not my intention, but after the day I had at work that is all I could think about. Our camp zoo party was at a place called Four Peaks and it was a brewery that served food. We went during happy hour so the place was packed. I did not realize that they were carding, but luckily I'm over 21 so it was not an issue. I had two pear ales that tasted almost like Bulmers, the pear cider I had in Ireland. Only one person was unable to get in and my boss felt so bad. She did not know that they would not allow people under 21 without an adult.
My mom was less than thrilled to hear I had alcohol to drink last night. I guess because I was driving, but it was almost 2 hours after my last drink and with food in my system that I drove. I know that drinking and driving is not worth it and if I got pulled over the two ales might have been enough to get a dui. I tend to drive more careful when I am sick or something than when I am sober.
At work my bosses and other people are being moved into this double wide trailer and I offer to help with the move since I need the hours. They had us put together the new desks from IKEA and Stapes. The IKEA stuff is easy to put together and we had no problem with it. The stuff from Stapes was a huge pain in the ass. Within 5 minutes of starting me and Alexis already wanted to quit. We stuck it out to finish one desk. I just could not believe how difficult it was to put together and everyone said it would have been cheaper to hire Stapes to put them together. It is about $50 per hour and they should be able to to it faster than we took.
