I have not written in here much since I left for Ireland. I just have not had much to say at all recently. Does not matter that I had a great time in Oregon and at the Linkin Park concert.
With that said I not only had a great time at the concert, but won a pass to meet the band. Really it was an autograph signing. I felt a little bad because they only gave the winners one pass so Brian could not come with. All the guys were very nice and looked at who was in front of them and said hello and asked how we were doing. I am sure signing autographs is not the most exciting thing, but they did make sure to appear happy. Rob and Phoenix were the two who were chatting with me a little more. Talking about how sticky the weather was.
The other bands at the concert were not that great in my opinion. I never heard of Julien-K, but they reminded us of Depesh mode/NIN. Placebo was ok, HIM acted like they were just jamming in a garage. They had no interaction with the crowd. My Chemical Romance was pretty good and I miss Taking Back Sunday because I was waiting to meet LP at the time.
Being in the pit (the standing area, not the mosh pit) at Criket Pavillion is one of the best places. We could see the expressions and faces of the bands and that was nice to see. Though I do have to say that LP by far was having the most fun. Brad, Chester, Mike and Phoenix can on our side and was just interacting with the crowd, smiling and showing that they really enjoyed performing. Makes it worth the money and time spent in going to a concert when the artists are like that. Brian even claims that he did somekind of hand gesture when chester was near and he did it back.
