I'm in Grant Pass, Oregon right now. I found out that when my parents moved to Arizona they had the option on moving to this town as well, but my dad already commited to Motorola in Scottsdale. I knew this for some time and wish he choosed Oregon. It's 54 degrees yet I do not feel cold. In Arizona if it was in the 50s I would be freezing.
Things are going good so far, we are two hours south of Eugene. I think that I might not move in until Friday, since there maybe a rush of people moving in tomorrow since it is the first day to move in.
We also have to remember that in Oregon it is illegal to pump your own gas. You have to wait for the attendants to do it. I find that really creepy, I do not like strangers doing much for me, so having them do something that I am can do seems weird. Good thing I do not have my own car up here. Do not have to deal with it.
We stopped in Medford to take a tour of the packing plant and bakery for Harry & David. Yes the very people who are responsible for those nice gifts people send you. We got to see how they prepare the gifts, and treats. It was a nice tour, they gave us cookies and mints at the end of the tour. I got Spiced Apple Cider Tea that reminds of the apple tea I had in Turkey. It was kind of interesting to see.
Since we have been in Oregon, there has been trees and mountains. It's nice to see after that long trip through no mans land between LA and Sac and the scenery in Arizona. I think I am going to like it here.
